Hurricane Florence - The Eye of the Storm

Hurricane Florence was a devastating storm that flooded Wilmington and destroyed surrounding counties. It was one of the most damaging storms in NC state history. Thousands of people still remain houseless from the storm, and our local environment was affected tremendously. Leaders in the community, faculty at UNCW, and those proposing solutions to bridge gaps in our area were interviewed to tell the story of Hurricane Florence.

This story is not just about the havoc that Florence caused. This story is about what we can do to recover, to make our communities adaptable and resilient in the face of storms, to make sure we take care of everyone when disaster strikes.
